Ceramic Alumina VS Zirconia Alumina VS Alumina

According to the type of abrasive used, flap discs can be divided into three types: ceramic alumina, zirconia alumina, and alumina. 

Ceramic alumina has many crystals, good self-sharpening, relatively neat edges, good heat dissipation, and long service life. Therefore, ceramic alumina flap discs are mainly used for the grinding of stainless steel, aluminum and other hard metals. 

Zirconia alumina itself is a polycrystalline crystal with fast cutting speed, self-sharpening, strong ability to withstand high pressure and high temperature. Therefore, zirconia alumina flap disc has strong cutting ability and long service life. 

Alumina: monocrystalline crystals, the cutting ability begins to decline at the beginning of grinding and the abrasive particles are not easily broken so that the alumina flap disc are suitable for the processing of common metals.
