The vertical flap disc design polishes edges, radiused sides and corners with a good finish. The straight flaps is ideal for preventing dusts and debris from sticking on the sandpaper, saving the polishing time and saving the cost. The disc is mainly used for grinding and polishing the round and planar surfaces of workpiece while the shapes can not be changed. The backing pad can be fiberglass backings or plastic backing. Broad grit range allows rough grinding to fine finishing. There are flat (T27) and angle (T29) for this Vertical Flap Disc. Flat (T27) is designed to grind edges and flat surfaces with a working angle of 0°to 15°degrees. Angled (T29) is designed to grind planar surfaces with a working angle of 15°to 25°degrees. 

The Vertical Flap Disc is an orbital shaping disc suited to finishing work with light stock removal when used at low to medium speed. When handled gently, these discs will polish edges, sides and corners with a good finish. These flap discs are exceptionally flexible and complement finer sanding tools, making them excellent for ultimate surface removal. They are particularly useful as a general-purpose flap disc when working on steel panels to remove burn marks or other welding slags by face polishing. This flap disc removes tarnishing and corrosion of any kind.
